Beth & Josh chose to hold their wedding day celebrations at Hinwick House in Bedfordshire. The wedding ceremony itself was held at St Andrew’s Church in Spratton, Northampton which is also where Josh’s parents were married so it was lovely to have his own wedding there as well. We made sure to recreate some of his parent’s photos at the church doors as we knew this would be a sentimental photo for them to look back on.
One of the attractions of Hinwick House as a wedding venue, other than the stunning building it’s self is that you have free reign on the whole venue for 3 days. So Beth took full advantage of this and stayed the night before the wedding, along with her family and bridesmaids meaning everyone was there the day before the wedding. It also meant hair and make-up could start early, with everyone already on location and ready to go. Natalie Wood was on hand to get everyone ready for the big day. Our bride chose a unique beaded dress with sleeves, ensuring she warm as this was March wedding, her look was finished off with a stunning bouquet from Wilder Flower, who also decorated the staircase. Josh chose to get ready at home with his friends, enjoying the convenience of his home comforts.
Once everyone was ready we all headed to the church in Northampton ready for wedding ceremony. With yesteryear Wedding hire providing the cars to take the bridal party to the church. Our lovely bride decided to arrive in their 1955 Cadillac Fleetwood.
As the wedding took place in March you never know what the weather will do in the UK so umbrellas were on hand just incase. AS we all came outside to do the confetti it started to rain, but our coupe and guests were not put off and carried on regardless, embracing the UK weather. We then moved onto some small family groups outside the Church before everyone headed back to Hinwick House to start the wedding reception.
When we arrived back at the venue we discovered that the wedding cake had been delivered by the lovely Copper Kitchen and carefully placed center stage in the hallway under the grand staircase. While the wedding guests mingled we began our work capturing photos as the day unfolded, photographing wedding details ahead of the meal in the dining room along with working with our bride and groom to capture their group photo list. As the wedding guest were called in to be seated for their meal provided by the Calzone Kitchen, which I can confirm was amazing, cooked and presented to perfection. We took our bride and groom for some photos around the venue of just the two of them. While everyone enjoyed their meal, we started work backing up photos form our cameras and then editing our same day slideshow so after the meal our couple had a preview of some wedding photos to look at and share already. After the meal we headed into the reception room to capture the speeches and then headed outside to capture the wedding guests mingling and keep an eye on the sky for any sunset opportunities. After capturing some more candis of the guests relaxing and some more couples photos, it was time for the cake cut and first dance.
It was then time for us to say goodbye to our lovely couple. Before leaving we backed up our photos again, adding the images from later in the day. Once home it was time to upload our images to the PC so they are ready to be edited and safely stored in a few places.
