Heather & Andy’s Wedding at Fawsley Hall in Daventry

Oct 24, 2024 | Uncategorized

Heather and Andy held their wedding in March at Fawsley Hall, Daventry, Northampton. We were there to photograph their wedding day.

Our bride and groom both decided to get ready for their wedding day at Fawsley Hall. This removed any stress for them of getting to the venue on their wedding day. We started the morning with Heather and her loved ones. Who were busy getting ready with the help of Elizabeth Jane wedding Hair. We started work straight away with bridal preparation photos. Grant focussed on the dress and details, whilst I worked on capturing the ladies as they prepared for Heathers wedding day. Grant then headed off to find Andy and see if he was ready for Grant to pop in.

With our bride and groom getting ready at their wedding venue we were both able to pop downstairs to take photos of the venue, ceremony room and reception room. As the reception room was almost completely set-up meaning we could take these photos quite early in the day.

As the wedding took place around Easter our couple had subtle hints to this in their wedding. They had a pastel colour palette, with Spring flowers such as daffodils and tulips, colour pops of green throughout and even chocolate mini eggs used to decorate the wedding reception tables. The bridesmaids all wore sage green and the little flower girl had a basket full of Easter eggs to hand out to wedding guests, a task she took extremely seriously. Our groom Andy wore a dark green tuxedo which perfectly complicated the wedding colour scheme.

The couple’s wedding ceremony was held in the Valentine Suite of Fawsley Hal, which can hold up to 120 wedding guests. After the wedding ceremony our bride and groom had requested we organise a confetti line for them. We quickly did this and then started taking our couples requested group photos. We had to pause these photos as it began to rain. This turned out to be perfect timing as it meant we could pop into the Tudor Great Hall and take some quick couples photos before they began serving afternoon tea. The rain was short lived so we quickly went back outside and finished our couples requested group photos, before we all went and re-joined the rest of the wedding guests.

We then spent our time capturing candid photos of the wedding party and final photos of the now fully set-up reception room. As we waited for the wedding guests to take their seat for the wedding breakfast we took advantage of the break in the rain and quickly took some photos outside. After the meal we re-joined our couple and their guests to capture the wedding speech’s.

With the light now dropping we took Heather and Andy for a walk around the venues grounds and capture some couples photos for them. Managing to also capture a rainbow, sunset and some after dark photos. At this point it was then time to cut the stunning wedding cake provided by Cakes fabulous cakes. Then straight to the dancefloor where the Blue Rinse were ready to get the party started.

Before we left we had one more chance to take our couple outside for a night time photo under the arches at the entrance to Fawsley Hall, before we said goodbye and headed home.
