Natasha & Tom’s Relaxed Family-Focused Wedding at Chicheley Hall

May 12, 2026 | Real weddings, Wedding Photography, Wedding Venues

Some weddings just feel special from the moment you arrive — and Natasha & Tom’s wedding at Chicheley Hall was exactly that.

From the very start, the whole day felt warm, relaxed and genuinely centred around the people who mattered most to them. It wasn’t about putting on a show or rushing from one thing to the next — it was about family, connection and properly enjoying every moment together.

And honestly, those are always the weddings we love photographing most.

A Day Built Around Family

One of the loveliest things about Natasha & Tom’s wedding was how important it was to them that their children were involved throughout the day.

From bridesmaids and groomsmen to proud little ring bearers, their children were such a huge part of everything. There were so many sweet little moments throughout the day — the excitement, the hugs, the laughter and all the little interactions that happen naturally when family is at the heart of a wedding.

Those are always the moments we love capturing most.

Not just the big events of the day, but all the in-between moments too — the ones that often end up meaning the most years later.

A Natural Mix of Candid & Traditional Wedding Photography

Like many of our couples, Natasha & Tom wanted a mixture of relaxed candid photography alongside some more traditional photos with family and friends.

Throughout the day, we kept everything feeling natural and unobtrusive, capturing moments as they happened rather than constantly interrupting the day.

The laughs between guests, the emotional reactions during the ceremony, children playing, family members chatting quietly in the background — all those little moments that truly tell the story of a wedding day.

Then when it came to group photos and portraits, we gently guided everything in a relaxed way so nothing ever felt awkward or overly posed.

We always want couples to enjoy being present in their wedding day, rather than feeling like they’re spending hours away from it having photos taken.

Taking Time Away Together

One of my favourite parts of the day was taking Natasha & Tom away for a little bit of quiet time together.

Wedding days go by incredibly quickly, and it’s often one of the only opportunities couples get to properly pause and take everything in together.

We kept this really relaxed — no pressure, no rushing and no awkward posing. Just giving them space to breathe, chat, laugh together and enjoy a few quiet moments away from the busyness of the day while we captured it naturally.

Some of my favourite images from the whole wedding came from these moments.

More Like Friends Than Suppliers

Something Natasha & Tom said they wanted from their wedding photographers really stayed with me — they wanted photographers who felt more like friends on the day.

That’s genuinely always our aim.

By the time your wedding arrives, we don’t want to feel like strangers turning up with cameras. We want you to feel comfortable enough to fully relax and just enjoy your wedding day.

And that’s exactly how this wedding felt.

Because there was that trust and relaxed atmosphere, everything flowed naturally throughout the day. Nothing felt forced, and it allowed us to capture genuine moments and real emotions exactly as they happened.

That’s always when the best photographs happen.

Do you photograph weddings at Chicheley Hall regularly?

Yes — we’ve photographed weddings at Chicheley Hall multiple times and know some lovely spots around the venue for natural couple portraits and family photographs.

Do you offer both candid and traditional wedding photography?

Absolutely. Most of our couples want a balance of natural, candid moments alongside some relaxed group photos and couple portraits. We always keep things feeling natural and never overly posed.

What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?

You definitely wouldn’t be alone — most of our couples say this before their wedding day. Our approach is very relaxed and friendly, which helps couples quickly feel comfortable and at ease.

Do you help organise group photos?

Yes — we’ll help guide group photos efficiently and calmly so they don’t take over your wedding day. We usually recommend planning these in advance to help everything run smoothly.

Do couples get time away together for portraits?

Always — and we really encourage it. It’s often one of the only chances couples get to properly pause and spend a few quiet moments together during the day.
